The Duo

All about creating the right musical experience for each event.

We’re a music duo built around versatility, with a sound rooted in acoustic music, classic rock, alternative, punk rock, grunge, and a touch of pop. We shape each performance around the venue, the audience, and the vibe of the night.

For intimate events, we offer acoustic sets featuring vocals, guitar, and drums, including an audience song-request segment that lets the crowd help shape the set.

For higher-energy events, we can expand into full-band rock performances or blend live music with DJ and electronic elements.

Whether you book Skylar solo, the two of us as a duo, or our full band, Skylar and Planet Steve remain the core duo at the heart of every performance. All of our performances are family-friendly.

Planet Steve

Drums - Piano - Bass - Production - Live Sound Engineering

Steve Tracy (Planet Steve) brings the drums, production, and live sound side of the project. His work spans live drumming, music production, and sound engineering, with a focus on creating performances that feel natural, energetic, and polished. From stripped-down acoustic sets to full-band performances and DJ/live music combinations, Steve helps shape the sound both on stage and behind the scenes.

Skylar Cook brings the voice, songwriting, and rock side of the project. Her influences span alternative rock, punk, grunge, and classic rock, with a focus on emotionally driven songwriting. As the primary vocalist and songwriter, Skylar brings personality and emotion to everything Seize The Night! creates, from intimate acoustic moments to loud, gritty full-band shows. Whether performing solo, as a duo, or with the full band, Skylar’s voice and presence remain at the center of the performance.
